Privacy Policy

Top of the Line, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Top of the Line Barber Academy and the website at totlbarberacademy.com (the "Service"). This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: name, email, password hash, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google ID).
• Application data: information you submit through the waitlist or application form, including your shop, experience, and goals.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe, Inc. We never store full card numbers. We retain transaction metadata (customer ID, subscription status, last 4 digits).
• Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser information, IP address, and timestamps — collected through PostHog and Sentry for product analytics and error monitoring.
• Communications: emails and support messages you send us.

2. How we use information

• To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud.
• To send transactional emails (account, billing, application status). We do not send marketing emails without consent.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Sharing

We share data only with the processors required to run the Service:

• Stripe (payments)
• Supabase / Lovable Cloud (database, authentication, hosting)
• PostHog (product analytics)
• Sentry (error monitoring)
• Mailgun via Lovable (transactional email)

We do not sell personal information.

4. Data retention

Account and billing records are retained for the life of your account plus seven (7) years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained for thirteen (13) months. You may request deletion at any time (see below).

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email support@totlbarberacademy.com and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on all user data. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of any confirmed breach within 72 hours.

7. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and a small number of analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the Service is used. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We will post material changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
